Business e-Visa for Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan online visa entry requirements

Employment visa for the Republic of Azerbaijan
A labor visa is issued to foreigners who wish to carry out paid work in Azerbaijan. In addition to general Azerbaijan visa requirements, applicants must present an invitation from the receiving party.
Additional documentation such as proof of accommodation may also be requested.
Travelers are reminded that it’s not necessary to apply for a visa at an embassy for unpaid business trips to Azerbaijan. The e-Visa is valid for business trips to attend meetings and events.
Private visa for visiting friends and relatives
Foreigners may be issued with a private visa to visit friends or family resident in Azerbaijan. In this case, the applicant must provide an invitation letter from the Azerbaijani citizen or a foreign citizen working in Azerbaijan on a business visa.
Eligible foreigners who meet the entry criteria may prefer to apply for a tourist e-Visa to stay in Azerbaijan for up to 30 days.
Visas on Arrival in Azerbaijan
Citizens of just 15 countries can currently get an Azerbaijan visa on arrival at an international airport. Travelers who opt for a visa on arrival rather than online may face waiting in long lines at the airport and should allow extra time for their journey.

Citizens of all other countries need to get a visa before traveling to Azerbaijan.
The visa must be paid for in full at the airport, visitors should have the cash to pay for the permit.
Visas can also be refused at the border, to avoid taking this risk many travelers prefer to obtain the permit in advance.
Visa on arrival under special conditions
US citizens can only obtain a 30-day visa only when arriving on a direct flight from New York City to Baku. If arriving from any other US city an electronic visa should be requested in advance.
Foreigners with residence permits issued by a GCC nation can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum of 30 days.
If these citizens have passports issued by an e-Visa eligible country, they can instead prepare for their trip in advance by applying online.
